Purple has always held special status, since the dawn of time. A colour that was difficult and costly to reproduce, it soon became associated with wealth and power. We have seen elements of it in Roman times, at Japanese courts and in the West in the Middle Ages. Purple has never quite been able to shake off that association of fanfare, excess and luxury.
A good way to bring out the best in Purple is to pair with other reds. Purple can also be used to give paler hues a visual boost.
Purper is available in both collections.
