The Maria Buytaert Collection always reminds me of my first box of colouring pencils: 12 pencils in clear, distinct shades. There must have been a Light Brown in there too: the colour of sand with a lot of yellow in it. Because Light Brown is such a neutral colour, it can easily be used to create a bridge to more contrasting colours. It is a real pity that this warm, cosy colour is so often overlooked.
Pair it with Dark Brown, Sand or Cinnamon. Or go for a more contrasting effect with Green, Light Turquoise and Salmon Pink!
